365 Cards- Mirror Me- Day 146

The challenge today on 365 Cards was to make a symetrical card. I decided to make it a thank you card. Here is what I came up with...

I think I probably should have
stamped "Thanks" under the other flower. But anyway, I used a purple background on this card, and then I used a yellow strip of paper down the middle. The stamps I used were in the Seeing Spots set by Stampin Up. The Thanks stamp was a stamp by Stampendous.

I hope you like my card!!

365 Cards - Day 145 Ad Inspired

The challenge for today on 365 cards was very hard! You had to make a card with this as your inspiration!

It was hard to come up with an idea. I sat there thinking and thinking. I finally put this card together. It is not one of my favorite cards, but it will have to do.

I used orange as the background, and a blueish gray on the bottom stripe. The puches I used were the 1 3/4 circle, 3/4 circle, and the scallop punch. The stamp I used was in the best yet set by Stampin Up.
Enjoy,
Sam

New Cards!

Today I just noticed that I got comments for my sketch cards I made.
Thank you to everyone who posted a comment. I'm glad that you like them.
Today I'd like to post one card that I've been working on.

This card uses the Stampin Up stamp sets Seeing Spots and Best Yet. I started out with Brown cardstock to make the background. I then used white and yellow in the middle. I randomly stamped the stamps from seeing spots onto white and then put it on. I stamped the so glad we're friends stamp (any of the stamps from the Best Yet set could work) into a 1 3/4 circle.

The next card I would like to post today is one of my favorites that I have made.

The idea for this card came from my friend Holly. She wanted to make a Just Because card and this is the idea she came up with.
I randomly stamped the stamps from Seeing Spots in the background of white cardstock. I then took light green paper and used specialty scissiors (made by Provo Craft) and trimed the top edge of the paper. I then put it on the bottom of the card. I then took that same green paper and cut a small strip of it to put along the middle. Instead of using paper, you could also use ribbon.
I stamped the stamp from the Best yet set into a 1 3/4 circle.
I hope you liked my cards for today. If you want more ideas, you can go to my website at http://www.cardsbysam.webs.com/ and look in my photo gallery.

Bye for Now,

The Pink Elephant Challenge #24

I entered this card in the Pink elephant Challenge. The theme this week was: ANIMALS(make a project of your choice using Animals as the theme). This Card is a simple one, but it fits the theme. I used used the pinstripe paper which I found in my scrap drawer as the background. I stamped a penquin stamp(Punch Pals) on white then outlined in blue. The Merry CHRISTMAS Stamp I got at Hobby Lobby. It is made by stampabilities.

ICSketches #26

I am entering this card in the Inspirational Card Sketches #26. (http://icsketches.blogspot.com/)

For the background I used paper I found at a Hobby Lobby, (Made by View Interprise). I then cut 6 squares out of white cardstock and stamped the penguin from the Stampin Up! set Punch Pals on each one. I then stamped the Tis the season stamp (part of Punch pals) on white paper and punched it out with the 1 3/4 punch. I stamped merry christmas on paper then punched it out with the 1.5 oval punch.
